Contact Start Date: You may use contacts starting from September 15, 2006.
Contact Type: Members or nonmembers
OMISS Nets: Contacts must be made on OMISS Nets.
Enhancements: Single bands & each additional 500 pts
Certificate numbers: On the first application approved, the next available certificate number is assigned. When an enhancement is earned, certificates will be issued with the same # and the enhancement listed on it.
Details:
The Scrabble Award is earned by accumulating 500 points for contacts with call signs that spell out words having three or more letters.
Only one word allowed per call sign per band.
Letters may be in any order (i.e. WA7NVT could be used for any of these words WANT, ANT, TAN, VAT, but only one word per band).
Numbers 1, 5, and 0 could substitute for the letters I, S, and O (WA1TER could be used as WAITER but would only count for the maximum of 5 points. Non-member contacts count for this award.
Each 3-letter word = 1 pt
Each 4-letter word = 3 pts
Each 5-letter word = 5 pts
Words that are foul or slurs are not accepted.
Words must be found in Scrabble dictionary.
Documentation to Submit: Log with words and point values. QSL cards are not required.
