Call District

Membership: Membership in OMISS is required to earn any awards. Club calls members can earn certificates only.

Contacts Start Date: You may use contacts from January 1, 2006.

OMISS Nets: Contacts must be made on OMISS Nets.

Contact Type: Members only. Mixed band contacts are allowed.

Club Call: Contacts with club stations are eligible, but only either the club station call or the operator call will be allowed. You cannot count both calls toward the awards if they are used during the same contact.

Repeat use of contact: Mobile and portable stations may be worked more than once, but they must be worked in different call districts.

Enhancements: Single band and 5-6-7-8 bands.

Certificate numbers: On the first application approved, the next available certificate number is assigned. When an enhancement is earned, certificates will be issued with the same # and the enhancement listed on it.

Seals: N/A

Parts of an award: N/A

Details: Work other OMISS members physically located in each of the call districts of the 50 US states as administered by the FCC, from 0 through 9. The number in a call sign, such as KA9XXX for example, shall not determine the call district; the station`s physical location shall be the determining factor.
One contact per call district is required for this award.

Mobile and portable stations may be worked more than once, but they must be worked in different call districts.

EXAMPLE #1: WR1TX has the number 1 in his call, but he resides in Texas, which is in the 5th call district. Therefore, any contacts with WR1TX shall count for the 5th call district.

EXAMPLE #2: WR1TX is mobile in Wyoming. Wyoming is located in the 7th call district, so any contact in this situation would count for the 7th district.

SPECIAL NOTES:

Portable identifiers are encouraged to be used, such as WR1TX/5, when an application is turned in as well as on the air.
Hawaii/KH0-9 may be used for the 6th District, and Alaska/KL0-9 may be used for the 7th District.
US territories such as Puerto Rico and Guam will not count for this award.

Documentation to Submit: Log sorted by call district number. QSL cards are not required.

Application and Submission: Free PDF or $3/one or $5 for up to 25 in same envelope. Send application and log information (as listed in documentation to submit) to sportsawards@OMISS.net or mail to award manager at Michelle Sack Box 1182, Waldorf, MD 20604. Do not send SASE with mailed request.
